Awards for 61 Wind Turbines: UKA Group Successful with All Projects Submitted to February's "Onshore Wind" Tender by German Federal Network Agency

The UKA Group, including its stakes in partner projects, has secured EEG awards (EEG: Renewable Energy Sources Act – a long‑term power purchase agreement with the Federal Republic of Germany) in the Federal Network Agency’s February "Wind an Land" (Onshore Wind) tender. As a result, over 600 megawatts (MW) can now be commissioned. At a total volume tendered of 3,445 MW, this corresponds to a market share of around 17.5%. The tender was oversubscribed by 128% according to the Federal Network Agency, and the average volume‑weighted award value fell to 5.54 ct/kWh, the lowest award price in a tender under the Renewable Energy Sources Act since 2018.

Gernot Gauglitz, Managing Partner of the UKA Group: "This means that a further 89 wind turbines with over 600 megawatts can be commissioned under the current EEG regime. UKA is thus moving a clear step closer to commissioning over one gigawatt of onshore wind in Germany within one calendar year. In order to achieve our admittedly very ambitious target in the current market environment, we are increasingly relying on cooperation projects with partners, but we are also happy to acquire project rights. We are very interested in entering into further such partnerships and look forward to corresponding enquiries."

The UKA Group's projects that were successful in this tender are located in the German federal states of Brandenburg, Mecklenburg‑Western Pomerania, North Rhine‑Westphalia, Saxony and Saxony‑Anhalt. They will soon be added to the project pipeline currently under construction of over 1.5 GW. In 2025, the UKA Group was already able to secure EEG awards of over 700 MW. Thanks to a strong network of contractual partners and the use of high-performance turbines, UKA's projects continue to demonstrate their economic viability even in a significantly more competitive environment.
