Renowned Renewable Energy Strategic Leader Joins Vaisala

Vaisala, a global leader in environmental measurement and monitoring solutions for the renewable energy industry and beyond, welcomes former GE Renewable Energy’s strategy head, Alexis Crama, as its Vice President — Weather and Environment. In this role, Crama will leverage his unique perspective and depth of experience with the renewable energy industry to help Vaisala further support the global clean energy transition. Vaisala is one of the only companies of its kind to offer a 360-degree robust suite of renewable energy measurement solutions, including WindCube® wind lidars, real-time lightning and weather data, and weather sensors and systems (ultrasonic wind sensors, visibility sensors, precipitation sensors, automatic solar stations, and more).

Harnessing Crama’s in-depth expertise, Vaisala will continue building measurement, monitoring, and forecasting solutions that advance the solar, wind, grid power, and battery storage industries — and unlock our planet’s clean energy potential.

Before Vaisala, Crama served in the following roles:

•   Global head of strategy and growth initiatives at GE Renewable Energy: Spearheading efforts to grow the multinational firm’s onshore and offshore wind, hydro, hybrid solutions, battery storages and smart grids businesses, including strong M&A focus.

•   Vice president at LM Wind Power: Building and scaling up the global leading supplier of wind turbine blades into the offshore business. He also held positions in corporate strategy, industrial development and sales and operations planning.
