Pillsbury's Mona Dajani on Top 100 Legal Power List for 2022

28 Jul 2022

Mona Dajani, Global Co-Head of Energy and Infrastructure for Pillsbury Law, has been named one of the most influential people in the wind energy industry, according to A Word About Wind

The Legal Power List highlights the top 100 lawyers that exert the most influence on the wind industry globally — based on the deals they work on and the advice they provide. This includes lawyers at partner or departmental head level, in-house general counsels, and heads of legal.

"I'm humbled and grateful to be elected to the Legal Power List 2022. I'm proud of our work at Pillsbury on wind energy alongside green hydrogen and all forms of sustainable infrastructure," said Dajani.

Ben Cook, lead editor of the 2022 Legal Power List, said: "As the wind industry has continued its rapid expansion, so the legal expertise available to the sector has been significantly enhanced.

"This year's Legal Power List demonstrates how the depth of wind industry know-how found among private practice lawyers in particular, has increased substantially. The result is that companies in the wind sector now have an array of top legal talent to choose from."

"As wind industry deals grow in size, there is likely to be a rise in demand for both in-house lawyers as well as private practice lawyers who are able to handle major deals. The pool of wind industry lawyers is only going to get bigger, and it's known that law firms are hunting for talent in order to ensure they can satisfy the increasingly complex needs of clients in the sector. Similarly, as the sector matures and matters become more sophisticated, we can expect leading wind sector companies to make moves to bolster their in-house expertise, and it's likely we'll see more private practice lawyers being lured into in-house roles,", he added.

Mona Dajani features in the Legal Power List 2022, the latest in a series of reports published exclusively by A Word About Wind, a global membership network for renewable energy financiers and investors.
