Which states have the most wind turbines?
It’s no surprise that Texas has the most wind turbines of any state since it is the country’s frontrunner in wind energy generation. The Lone Star State has 19,415 active wind turbines, according to the most recent report from the U.S. Wind Turbine Database. Texas has more active wind turbines than the next three states combined: Iowa – 6,472, Oklahoma – 5,597, and California – 5,510.
