Work boot made for women’s feet

KEEN Utility updates the brand’s women’s San Jose work boot, built for the unique fit needs of today’s tradeswoman. Now available in a waterproof option, this all-leather work boot works hard from clock-in to clock-out and beyond, and offers the safety, performance, and comfort features custom to KEEN Utility. A KEEN.LUFTcell comfort midsole provides air-infused comfort with nearly 100,000 air bubbles per cubic centimeter providing all-day comfort helping to reduce foot fatigue over time. The boot features an EH-rated, slip-resistant outsole that disperses liquids underfoot quickly for better surface area contact, satisfying ASTM and SATRA non-slip testing standards. The San Jose also features a roomier toe box and unobtrusive, asymmetrical aluminum safety toe caps that are 35% lighter than steel. Leveraging the insights and real work experience from women across multiple trades and backgrounds, the San Jose is part of the KEEN Utility Tradeswomen Tested program that puts women’s safety styles through their paces from initial concept to production, in the field and on the feet of tradeswomen. The women’s San Jose waterproof work boot is suitable for a variety of indoor and outdoor work environments.

North American Clean Energy Product Evaluation

Work boots are expected to be rugged and durable, but their flat hard soles will often have you aching to take them off at the end of the day. KEEN Utility’s boots, such as their San Jose, attempt to address this issue with a proprietary Metatomical Footbed. Has it worked? The Product Evaluation Team at North American Clean Energy had the opportunity to find out. Wearing these boots, our feet were comfortable even after long days tramping around outdoor job sites in 90° heat, and standing for hours on concrete. The boots are lightly lined and quite lightweight (21.6 oz), which contributes to their comfort. They are hardly delicate, though. They are engineered to meet ASTM safety standards, with an aluminum toebox and an oil and slip-resistant sole. The fullgrain leather is waterproofed as well. We appreciate that KEEN Utility has engineered the outsole to reduce the chance of electric shocks in case of accidental contact with live circuits. Others have commented that they run a bit big, but our Evaluator usually wears a 9.5 and the KEEN Utility size 10 fit perfectly, with a lovely roomy toe box. You can expect to get many comfortable years of use out of these boots. Thanks, KEEN Utility, for making a construction boot for women!
