SolarEdge, Apollo Energy and Industry Partners Join Forces to Donate 60-kW Solar Energy System to Denver Nonprofit

SolarEdge Technologies, Inc., a global leader in smart energy technology, trusted Denver-area solar installer Apollo Energy, and several industry partners including Pivot Energy, IronRidge, Greentech Renewables, and Rexel announced the donation and installation of a 60-kilowatt solar energy system for Project Worthmore, a nonprofit organization providing support services to refugees in the Denver metropolitan area. This system will power the nonprofit’s newly renovated 20,000–square-foot Denver campus, helping the organization dramatically reduce electricity costs and reinvest those savings into programs that support families across the broader Denver community.

The project represents a collaborative effort across the solar industry, with manufacturers, installers, developers, and distributors contributing equipment, expertise, and funding to deliver the renewable energy system at no cost to the nonprofit.

“This solar installation will allow Project Worthmore to redirect thousands of dollars every month into programs that directly support the families we serve,” said Frank Anello, Executive Director for Project Worthmore. “We’re incredibly grateful to the companies that came together to make this project possible and help ensure our new campus can serve the community for years to come.”

The solar installation is expected to eliminate most of Project Worthmore’s electricity expenses, saving approximately $1,000 per month and $350,000+ over 20 years. Those funds will instead support educational classes, community programs, and shared spaces that serve families and local organizations across the Denver metro area. The installation also contributes to Denver’s broader sustainability goals by reducing CO2 emissions by ~60 tons per year and expanding the use of renewable energy in community institutions.

The solar installation is expected to be completed this summer, with an invite-only grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony planned for early August.
