Self-contained, low-power data recorder

CAS’s new VersaLog SDR-USB Serial Data Logger provides an inexpensive, self-contained, and low-power solution for the basic recording of RS-232 serial data to a removable USB memory stick in a standard PC-compatible text file. It offers a user-configurable baud rate, real-time clock for optional timestamp, standard FAT32 file format, and LED status indicators. The SDR-USB does not require any special configuration software, all settings are controlled by a simple text file stored on the USB stick. The configuration flexibility and straightforward setup make it easy to deploy into any serial data recording application. Users can be recording their data within minutes--not days or weeks. The SDR-USB is supplied with a plug-in AC power adapter and a 2GB USB memory stick, everything needed to get started logging serial data from scales, meters, gas analyzers, PLCs, and more.
