The most effective deterrent to PV module theft now fits in the palm of one’s hand. The PV Security Bolt offers triple-lock protection in the form of a unique clover lock design, serrations that grip the PV module, and 4140 heat-treated steel that gives the bolt maximum strength and tamper-resistance. It can only be operated by a numbered, registered key driver. Unlike key drivers for other security bolts, it’s only sold to licensed PV installers. The PV Security Bolt is designed for easy installation with a self-aligning CA point that simply drops into a pre-drilled hole. No threading is needed. Its recess is 1/4-inch, so it won’t strip out like other bolts with a smaller recess.
