SolarEdge introduces to the North American market its Next Generation Power Optimizer. Unlike other power optimizers on the market, the new SolarEdge power optimizer features IndOP technology, and can be installed without the need for additional interface hardware, operating directly with any inverter. IndOP technology makes it easier to introduce smart modules with integrated SolarEdge technology into the market. Implementing retrofit projects also becomes more economically viable and easier as aging PV arrays can now be upgraded with the SolarEdge power optimizers, minimizing power losses due to uneven degradation and increasing mismatches. In addition, the power optimizer offers the highest known peak efficiency in the industry of 99.5% and a 98.9% weighted efficiency. It’s also certified in the IP68 protection class, providing excellent durability against water and dust.
