PCI Solar to Help Power Woodland, CA with 2.46 MW of Solar

PCI Solar has begun construction of a 2.46 megawatt portfolio for the city of Woodland, CA.  The six separate systems, which include carports, rooftops, a solar shade canopy, and ground-mount solar, will assist in offsetting Woodland's energy use at its City Hall, Community Center, Library, Police Station and other city facilities.

The systems are being built with Hanwha Q-Cells panels and Solectria inverters and include such cost-saving innovations as aluminum homerun conductors and energy optimization through localized step-up transformers.

The Woodland solar portfolio is the latest municipal solar project for PCI Solar, based in Austin, TX. The PCI Solar team's previous municipal solar projects span the country from a 400kw project for Passaic Valley School District in New Jersey to a 1MW portfolio for Alamo Heights Independent School District in San Antonio, TX to a 400kw ground mount project for the City of Bisbee, AZ.
