PCI Solar Completes Solar Portfolio for California School District

Northern California students and faculty are now enjoying clean power via a portfolio of over 600 kilowatts of solar recently completed by PCI Solar.  The solar arrays, located at nine different Petaluma City School campuses, are composed of a variety of carport and shade structures.

PCI Solar won the work through a competitive RFP process led by TerraVerde Renewable Partners, with the projects funded through school bonds.  PCI Solar built the projects in stages, starting in summer 2016 and completing at year end, in order to accommodate academic schedules. The systems incorporate Trina Solar panels and Solectria inverters, which convert the power generated by the panels from DC to AC power. Construction of the systems, overseen by PCI Solar, employed local labor and consultants.

The Petaluma projects are another northern California project for PCI Solar, which recently completed construction of a 2.5 megawatt portfolio of solar projects for the City of Woodland, CA. The projects are the latest in PCI Solar's expanding schools and local governments portfolio,  including a similarly sized project for Austin Independent School District in Austin, Texas.  The company is also continuing work on a 1 megawatt portfolio of solar projects for Alamo Heights Independent School District in San Antonio, Texas.
