Nautilus Solar Responds to Improvements to the Community Solar Program in Minnesota

The signing of House File 2310 by Governor Tim Walz represents a significant step forward in expanding access to clean energy and reducing energy costs for residents across the state.

House File 2310, an Environment, Natural Resources, Climate, and Energy Finance Policy bill, brings about crucial changes to Minnesota's community solar program. These changes include the removal of the contiguous county restriction and an increase in the project size from 1 MW to 5 MW. These key elements will pave the way for an estimated delivery of 1.5 GW of community solar and distributed generation project development to Minnesota.
