GameChange Solar (GCS) announced that a 15 MW Genius Tracker project has been fully commissioned at Green Valley Industrial Park near San Pedro Sula, Honduras. The system is now Honduras's largest privately-owned industrial solar facility.
Green Valley Industrial Park is a world-class industrial facility that serves multinational corporations such as Lear Corporation, Simtex, and Gildan Textiles. Green Valley will save 20% on their total energy costs thanks to the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).
"Soaring electricity rates have long been a burden on Central America, and GameChange Solar is rising to the challenge," said Max Johnson, Director of Business Development at GameChange Solar. "As part of expanding utility projects, Central America must develop not only more affordable energy but also clean renewable energy, all while reducing reliance on imported fuels and lowering carbon emissions. GameChange Solar looks forward to assisting Honduras and neighboring countries in their energy revolution."
