AEROCOMPACT Presents New PV Substructures at Intersolar Europe
PV mounting-system expert AEROCOMPACT has developed COMPACTPITCH XM-F REP-TILE, a universal solution for pitched roofs which can be combined with a wide range of roof tiles. In addition to roof hooks, the system includes coloured cover plates that can be used to replace roof tiles. Thanks to the pre-assembled components, installation is quick, inexpensive and easy – with only one tool. AEROCOMPACT will present the substructure to the public for the first time at Intersolar Europe in June.
Other highlights at the world's leading trade fair for the solar industry include AEROCOMPACT's new COMPACT PITCH X60 mounting rail. "The rail is even stronger than its predecessors, which is why you can easily walk on it during installation. And since it also allows for greater spacing between roof hooks, the number of roof hooks can be reduced, which cuts costs and reduces installation time", explains AEROCOMPACT product management manager Albert Vonbun.
Fall protection for flat roofs
or its COMPACTFLAT SN2 flat-roof rail system, AEROCOMPACT and its partner INNOTECH have developed a fall protection system suitable for all variants of the long rail system – regardless of whether it has a clamp on the short or long side. The space-saving fall protection can be attached directly to the rails of the SN2 system. "With our new solution, we have responded to the increasing demand for fall protection from installers working on roofs", says Vonbun.
At its trade fair stand, AEROCOMPACT is also presenting a new cable management and lightning protection system for the SN2 substructure. While the clip system speeds up the fixing of cables to the substructure, the new lightning protection system provides more safety. It can either be integrated into an existing system or protect against lightning strikes as a new lightning protection system.
Roof hooks and clips for pitched roofs
The soon-to-be-released COMPACTPITCH XT-R roof hook is supplied by AEROCOMPACT as standard with a click-quick mounting attachment to connect the rails. The quick mounting attachment is an integral part of the roof hook, which has reduced the complexity in production. Using the finite element method – a numerical calculation method – the PV racking expert has optimised and reduced the amount of material used for the new hook. New cable clips, which can be easily attached to the rail or module frame, will facilitate cable routing in pitched roof mounting in the future.
Higher trapezoidal sheet-metal short rail
For its trapezoidal sheet-metal short rail system, AEROCOMPACT has developed the COMPACTMETAL TSE15 short rail, which has a height of 80 millimetres. The higher rail provides better rear ventilation for the PV system, thus increasing its efficiency. Until now, this has only been possible by combining a short rail with additional elevation. With the TSE15, PV systems can be installed more efficiently and simply.
AEROCOMPACT will be presenting its new products at the world's leading trade fair for the solar industry, Intersolar Europe, in Munich from 14 to 16 June. Visitors will find the company in hall A6, stand number 560.
