The Product Evaluation Team at NACE landed their hands on Keen's new Vista Energy Utility Shoe with a Carbon Fiber toe and being a big fan of Keen's closed toed sandals, we could not wait to get these utility shoes onto our feet and onto the shop floor!  Our testing included three weeks of rugged on the job wear around outdoor worksites and inside our local workshop. Out of the box the shoe looks rugged with a thick sole, double stitching, and reinforced shoestring eyelets. We found the sizes to run about  ½ size small so if you wear a size 10, we recommend you order a 10.5. Fit and feel was great.  They are light, breathe well, and kept our feet from getting hot like most leather work shoes and boots. Also, the Carbon Fiber Toe box provided us plenty of toe room and there was no break-in required. You can take these shoes out of the box and wear them all day! After three weeks of putting these shoes through their paces, they are still as comfortable as the first day. We also found them easy to clean and they dried overnight.   The Carbon Fiber Toe Box, which meets ASTM standards, was a bonus as some of our worksites require us to go through metal detector screening. Overall, these are a solid pair of work shoes which held up well and are very comfortable on your feet.
