SHIFT 3k and SHIFT 7k are developed as an important extension to SHIFT 4k and SHIFT 6k. Together, these four modular gearbox platforms support customers to maximize output at every wind site. Where the SHIFT 7k variant with maximal torque up to 8000 kNm addresses the high power, high output onshore segments as well as dedicated offshore markets, the SHIFT 3k variant is specifically designed to cover the demand in view of low to very low wind sites to boost annual energy production while reducing levelized cost of energy. With this wide torque range of 3000 kNm up to 8000 kNm, SHIFT gearbox platforms enable cost-efficient turbine designs for all markets with wind power density starting from 125 W/m² up to 500 W/m².
