Jib for windpower unit assembly & service work

Crawler craneThe 300-metric-ton LR 1300 SX is one of Liebherr’s most successful crawler crane models. The new LR 1300 SX version of this crane has a main boom that permits worthwhile increases in main boom and jib lifting capacities. In addition, the LR 1300 SX has a newly developed heavy duty jib for assembly and maintenance work on wind power installations. For this area of application, the crane is equipped with a narrow telescopic undercarriage for cost-effective travel movements when space on the ground is limited. The standard travel width of the LR 1300 SX is 8m, but the undercarriage can be closed up until its width is only 4.8m. The track width adjustment permits crane travel movements with all equipment installed.

The new heavy duty jib is 8m long and rated for a maximum lifting capacity of 117t. Its full performance potential is revealed when it is used in conjunction with long booms and derrick equipment. The maximum possible combination of 113m main boom and 8m heavy duty jib results in a sheave height of 123m. Even this maximum configuration can handle loads of up to 42t. With the more customary configuration of 80m main boom and jib, the LR 1300 is able to lift more than 80t, with a sheave height of almost 90m.
