Portable power station

The BLUETTI power station EB3A has a 600W pure sine wave inverter and 268Wh of LiFePO4 battery pack under the hood and supports up to 200W of solar input. Unlike any other compact units of BLUETTI, the EB3A is the first model in the sub-3000Wh range that doesn't need a bulky power brick to charge. One single cable will charge the EB3A at a relatively stunning rate of 600W, 0 to 80% charged in only 20minutes.

From the NACE Product Assessment Team

Bluetti recently introduced their new EB3A 600W Portable Power Station and after putting one through several weeks of testing we can happily say Bluetti has developed another winning product.  This affordable unit will not only power and charge small PEDs such as a laptops or phones, but it will also run larger items like multiple Bluetooth speakers, corded power tools or a mini fridge! The pure sine-wave power inverter provides smooth power, and we experienced no electric buzz when running a large Bluetooth speaker!  With 9 outlets you’ll  have multiple ways to connect just about any electronic device on the market today.  The EB3A has two standard 120V/5A outlets, one USB-C port, two USB-A ports, one 12V DC car type outlet, two 12V DC 5521 (5.5 mm) outlets and even a wireless 15W charging pad!

We used this unit in the NACE shop on a build project and it easily powered a corded drill, a miter saw and a circular saw for just over 2 hours through a 25-foot extension cord!  Charging it is easy and quick using a standard 120V outlet, but the EB3A can also be charged via standard solar panels (12-28V, 200W max input) or even from a car cigarette lighter port using an optional car charging cable.  The EB3A comes with a 2-year warranty and because it uses LiFePO4 (Lithium Iron Phosphate) batteries you can expect this unit to last for 2,500+ charging cycles.

Bluetti has developed an App to monitor the unit and it works on both Apple and Android phones connecting to the EB3A via Bluetooth. The App is very intuitive and allows you to monitor the unit’s metrics like battery and discharge status. You can also use the app to change charging modes from Standard to Turbo or Silent.  Using Turbo Mode we were able to fully charge the unit in under one hour but repeatedly doing so my reduce its life expectancy.

With society’s dependence on electronic devices, this light weight 10 pound power station is a great option for anyone needing to run or charge electronic items!  It would also be great to use as a short-term power back up in case of a power outage or even take with you on outdoor adventures to including camping trips!  We here at the NACE test facility give Bluetti’s EB3A Power Station 5 out of 5 stars!
