Plug-in solar system
The New Mexico–based startup, Pii Energy, is beginning beta product testing in New Mexico and Utah, focusing on real-world energy cost savings, safety, and customer experience. The company said its Edge 2000 is designed to give households a simple way to generate, store, and manage clean power, helping them mitigate rising electricity costs. The system integrates power electronics, intelligent load management, and compatibility with solar panels and battery storage. Pii Energy said the beta phase will allow the company to evaluate performance across different grid conditions and household energy needs before considering broader deployment. Company officials said Edge 2000 is aimed at households that have historically faced barriers to traditional solar, including renters and residents of multifamily or shared housing. The plug‑in, modular approach is intended to reduce complexity while giving users more control over how energy is used in the home.
