Electriq Power Holdings, Inc. (“Electriq”) (NYSE:ELIQ), a provider of intelligent energy storage and management for homes and small businesses, announced the addition of David Peterson to its finance team, effective immediately. Peterson will lead capital markets activities and be responsible for arranging corporate financing, both equity and debt, and project financing for Electriq’s Sustainable Community Network (SCN) programs and Sustainable Solutions partners.
“We are excited to have one of the pioneers of residential solar financing with Electriq Power,” said Frank Magnotti, Chief Executive Officer of Electriq. “David joins a management team that helped bring residential Virtual Power Plants (VPP) to the market. This integration of experience and expertise, combined with our five levels of proprietary software that enables the battery to be the energy management hub of the home, is a powerful foundation for the company’s growth."
Mr. Peterson served most recently as a Principal at Rebel Group, where he provided strategic advisory services on energy and infrastructure projects. Prior to joining Rebel, he was Managing Director for renewable capital markets at Clean Power Finance (CPF), a solar financing platform. His background also includes 20 years in infrastructure financing, both advising organizations on essential infrastructure projects and delivering financing through his prior roles at Ernst & Young, RBC Capital Markets, CIT Group and Schroders. Throughout his career, Mr. Peterson has negotiated and closed finance facilities in excess of $15 billion, comprising almost all forms of financing relevant to energy and infrastructure.
“I am delighted to join the Electriq team,” Mr. Peterson said. “I have spent my career helping connect essential infrastructure projects to effective financing options. Electriq’s vision of making clean energy infrastructure available to all fits perfectly with my experience. I look forward to helping the team access the financing needed to make that vision a reality.”
