Briggs & Stratton Energy Solutions Presents Diversified Product Portfolio at The Energy Expo

Briggs & Stratton Energy Solutions is set to display its state-of-the-art energy solutions lineup at The Energy Expo 2023 from August 22 to 24 at the Miami Airport Convention Center. Show attendees can visit the Briggs & Stratton Energy Solutions booth (#304) to get an up-close look at the company’s latest products and innovations, including the new Energy Storage System (ESS) Packages that offer solar installers and consumers a simplified, state-of-the-art technology solution that is versatile enough to serve a variety of applications.

With the strategic acquisition of energy storage systems manufacturer SimpliPhi Power (SimpliPhi), Briggs & Stratton Energy Solutions offers a comprehensive line of intelligent energy solutions, from best-in-class standby generators to scalable battery storage systems. Some other highlights of the company’s booth include the safety-certified BOSS and AccESS cabinets, the SimpliPHI Energy Storage System (ESS) and its companion monitoring system EnergyTrak, and other high-voltage products, including the PHI and AmpliPHI batteries. Briggs & Stratton Energy Solutions experts will also be presenting at the show.

“As we continue to see the energy and power landscape evolve, it becomes increasingly critical to have a diversified range of solutions that can be scaled to meet power and energy storage capacity needs across installations for homes and businesses. That’s why we have expanded our portfolio to include new ESS Packages that help simplify energy management and make it easier for home and business owners to take advantage of this innovative technology,” said Tom Rugg, SVP & President - Briggs & Stratton Energy Solutions. “We are excited to showcase these new Packages alongside our other cutting-edge solutions at The Energy Expo as we show attendees how our diversified portfolio can help meet all their energy and backup power needs.”

Simplifying Energy Storage

The company’s new ESS Packages take three core components — Lithium Ferro Phosphate (LFP) batteries, a recently-enhanced 6kW SimpliPHI inverter and the EnergyTrak control system and app — and integrate them into an all-in-one bundle that combines reliability, cost-effectiveness and environmental consciousness. The innovative, modular technology allows the system to independently scale power and energy storage capacity to meet any installation requirement, from providing primary power to an entire home or business to storing energy to draw from during an outage. Briggs & Stratton has rolled out two package options for installers and dealers: the SimpliPHI ESS Package and the AmpliPHI ESS Package.

Both SimpliPHI and AmpliPHI batteries have closed-loop communications that expedite information-sharing across all components, increasing efficiency and reducing programming time. The batteries are outlasting the traditional 10-year battery limited warranty so, Briggs & Stratton Energy Solutions has increased that to an industry-leading 15-year battery limited warranty.1 These products are designed, developed and manufactured in the U.S., and all EnergyTrak customer information is stored in the U.S. for added security.

SimpliPHI Energy Storage System and EnergyTrak

Building on a 115-year history of power and manufacturing expertise, the SimpliPHI ESS is the latest energy storage system to come from Briggs & Stratton Energy Solutions. This integrated, scalable solution with proprietary hardware and a battery management system was designed by installers for installers. Its innovative design helps streamline installation and empowers home and business owners to store, manage and control energy from multiple generation sources for critical power security and daily cost savings.

The SimpliPHI ESS features state-of-the-art technology that seamlessly integrates any application with three core components: a 6kW inverter, a 4.9kWh2 Battery and EnergyTrak management software. The integrated 4.9kWh Battery leverages LFP chemistry to deliver safe energy storage and is maintenance-free with a longer life backed by the industry-leading 15-year limited warranty with 10,000 cycles at 80% depth-of-discharge.

The SimpliPHI ESS features EnergyTrak, a monitoring and control software platform that allows users to

manage their energy usage through a sophisticated mobile app that delivers real-time status updates to home and business owners. Some recent improvements to the EnergyTrak system include the ability for parallel installations using two or more SimpliPHI 6kW inverters. It now also offers the ability to receive email notifications and customized alerts on important system changes. Both service providers and end users can download EnergyTrak to streamline communication, practice proactive service and take intuitive control over the entire SimpliPHI ESS.
