The Niagara of today bears little resemblance to the manufacturer of small dry type and pole top transformers that started in a former Buffalo trolley barn in 1924.  A lot has changed over the past 100 years, and for Niagara their current facility and product offering is reflective of this change.

The company has introduced new technologies, expanded their manufacturing facility and broadened their testing capabilities. Having in mind the company's evolution, Niagara Transformer decided to align their corporate name with their vision for the future, while maintaining a connection to their historic past.  

By changing their name to Niagara Power Transformer, the company wishes to start a new chapter in its history, while maintaining their standards of manufacturing special application and medium power transformers and continuing to provide their customers with dependable power solutions.
