Senate ENR Committee Votes to Advance FERC Nominees

The Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources voted to advance Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) nominees Allison Clements and Mark Christie. Following is a statement from Gregory Wetstone, President and CEO of the American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE):

"We commend the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources for advancing this qualified pair of FERC nominees. We hope the full Senate follows suit and swiftly confirms these two strong candidates. Given the significant wholesale energy market and electric transmission challenges facing our nation today, a full, bipartisan complement of five FERC commissioners will be essential to achieving the long overdue regulatory reform needed to accelerate our energy transition."
