Haven Energy Appoints Doug Golden as Chief Commercial Officer to Accelerate Growth of Distributed Energy Resource Deployment

Haven Energy, a climate tech company that is advancing the clean energy transition through equitable access to distributed energy resources (DERs) by making energy resilience simple and accessible, announced that Doug Golden has joined the company as Chief Commercial Officer. Golden brings over two decades of executive leadership in the energy sector, with the last 15 years dedicated to developing and deploying distributed energy resources (DERs) including energy storage, solar, and electric vehicle infrastructure (EVSE).

In his new role, Golden will lead Haven’s commercial strategy, business development, and market expansion as the company scales deployment of solar-plus-storage systems and integrated virtual power plants (VPPs) across the country.

Golden has a proven track record of building high-performance teams and executing go-to-market strategies across the energy transition landscape. His career spans leadership roles at both venture-backed startups and Fortune 500 energy companies, where he led the development and deployment of solar, storage, standby generators, and EV infrastructure. Most recently he served as Chief Operating Officer at Sparkfund, a firm advancing the model for utility-owned DERs. Golden has consistently been at the forefront of the energy transition, combining innovative technologies with structured finance solutions that empower end-users to fund and implement critical energy infrastructure upgrades.
