Wind data management

EWC Weather Consult GmbH, a German weather service provider, is bringing its wind and weather data management solutions, into the US market. For the American market, EWC will offer high-resolution, real-time wind (and solar) power forecasts for improved intra-day and day-ahead forecasts, which are based on the latest machine learning process technologies. Based on highly complex and broad neuronal networks, the technology drastically reduces the yield uncertainties of wind energy projects.

With the introduction of Measure Correlate Predict (MCP) process for wind measurements, along with a simulation tool for virtual expansion scenarios using renewable energies, wind and solar power forecasts (as well as solutions for the optimum combination of forecasts) can be offered with accuracy. Even complex physical wind forecasts can be assessed, using calibrated measuring data and a wide variety of forecast models and model parameters, including MERRA re-analysis and other wind data sources.
