nextmove, Germany's leading electric car rental company, expands its own range of approximately 380 of the current electric cars and offers the nextmove e-car subscription at a fixed price in addition to the classic rental service. This price includes all vehicle-related costs. Compared to buying or leasing, a person switching to electric cars with a 3 or 24 month subscription remains fully flexible. This is because it is possible to switch between electric cars from the same vehicle class or to switch to a higher or lower class.

In the subscription class S, for example, it is possible to try out a Renault Zoe, an Opel Corsa-e or a Nissan Leaf one after the other. "Our customers would like to test a car for a longer period of time, but not to commit themselves to one brand or vehicle generation," says nextmove Managing Director Stefan Moeller. "The market is too dynamic to commit to one brand for several years. If a new model comes along, subscribers can easily switch, without the stress of delivery times and the risk of buying the wrong vehicle".

The Audi e-tron 50 quattro, for example, is also available as an e-car subscription. In early March, 20 electric cars from Ingolstadt joined the nextmove fleet and in some cases were handed over to subscribers directly at the Audi partner in Gotha, Thuringia. The e-tron is available for 849 euros per month with a 12-month subscription and 899 euros per month with a 6-month subscription. For example, a customer who takes out a 12-month subscription with a category S vehicle and wishes to switch to an e-tron after three months will receive it at the lower 12-month price. "If needs change, the customer can switch flexibly." 

Short term campaign for newcomers

In view of the corona crisis, it is currently less dangerous to commute to work or do shopping by car than by public transport. For people who want to avoid the risk of infection while travelling, nextmove is offering a monthly special offer with special conditions. For example, a Nissan Leaf can be purchased for 399 euros instead of the normal 780 euros. Or an Audi e-tron for 749 euros, i.e. 25 euros a day. 

Hygiene measures for maximum protection

nextmove has comprehensively expanded its own hygiene measures last week: all vehicles are not only cleaned between rentals, but also specifically disinfected. Normally, the cars are parked for several days. "This way we guarantee higher hygiene standards than, for example, car sharing providers," says Moeller. 

nextmove is currently working without exception on the basis of appointments and thus without public traffic at the stations. If a vehicle is handed over to a nextmove customer, this handover currently does not take place in an electric car, but outdoors.
