Tigo Facilitates Commercial Solar Discussion as Rapid Shutdown enters the Philippines

Tigo, pioneer of the smart modular Flex MLPE, will host the "Toward the Future: C&I Solar Projects Traction" panel discussion at ASEAN Solar + Energy Storage Congress & Expo 2019 in Manila, Philippines on November 14, 2019. Tigo will also exhibit its flexible module-level power electronics (Flex MLPE) and TS4 Platform at the Solar Juice booth throughout the ASEAN exhibition during November 14-15, 2019. Tigo's TS4 integrated smart modules (TS4) and advanced add-on (TS4-A) units for both residential and C&I PV systems will be on display.

Tigo's APAC Sales Manager Jeff Routledge will facilitate the panel as a thought-leader in rapid shutdown and the commercial solar industry around the South Pacific. Routledge will also present Tigo's Flex MLPE and TS4 Platform as a reintroduction of Tigo in lieu of the new Philippine Electrical Code's rapid shutdown safety regulations. Attendees will learn about designing and installing PV systems with Tigo's TS4 Platform and ways to deploy smart modules using Tigo's optimization, safety features, and module-level monitoring.

"The rapidly developing residential, commercial, and industrial solar markets in Southeast Asia are proving to be an inexorable trend. Large, public corporations - like those on this panel - are engaging in the process of adopting renewable energy," says Routledge. "Tigo's rapid shutdown solutions for roof-top PV systems fulfill the Filipino safety requirements. The ASEAN event is a valuable opportunity to educate these players about the details of complying with these new regulations."

As part of Tigo's team for more than seven years, Routledge has represented Tigo's smart modular solutions and Flex MLPE to solar distributors, OEM's, installers, and system designers from Sri Lanka to Singapore, New Zealand to Philippines, and India to Korea. Routledge has vast experience in electrical engineering for photovoltaics, and during his tenure, has lead activities with Tigo's customer care, product quality assurance, sales training, and on-site support. The panelists will include General Manager Ping Mendoza at Aboitiz Power Distributed Energy; Director of Corporate & Regulatory Affairs Juan Lorenzo Tañada at Coca-Cola Beverages Philippine; Director of Renewable Energy and B2B Solutions Bert Deprest at ENGIE; CEO & Managing Director Florian Bennhold at Symbior Solar; and Director Nathalie Risteau at Mandalay Yoma.

The expo will gather governors, developers, investors, consultants, banks, and utility participants from the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Lao PDR, India, and Hawaii. The conference aims to analyze solar trends with an emphasis on regional and international energy storage and floating solar development.
