Inaccess has successfully completed the deployment of its UNITY PPC for a single location GW scale solar plant in the Middle East. The PPC controls hundreds of inverters and multiple capacitor banks to regulate active and reactive power, providing among others voltage and frequency support to the grid. The size of the plant calls for a resilient and fault tolerant system architecture, which is provided by our fully redundant PPC augmented with a redundant fiber optic network design performed by our IT architects.
The redundant nature of the whole design has been proven during multi-day testing with the grid operator. The tests confirmed that the system can provide all the required functionality in several corner cases as is in normal operating conditions.
