Gov. Inslee to Speak at Policy Forum

Wahsington State Governor Jay Inslee was announced as the new keynote speaker at the ACORE Renewable Energy Policy Forum. Inslee was elected Governor of Washington in 2012 and reelected to a second term in 2016. Prior to being Governor, he served for fifteen years in the U.S. House of Representatives and in the Washington House of Representatives.

A national thought leader on renewable energy policy, Governor Inslee has made clean energy innovation a hallmark of his Administration - implementing a Clean Air Act rule to cap carbon emissions, electrifying the state's transportation system, and investing in renewable energy deployment, grid modernization and clean energy manufacturing. Inslee is the co-author of "Apollo's Fire: Igniting America's Clean Energy Economy" and co-founder of the bipartisan U.S. Climate Alliance, a coalition of 21 states committed to upholding the goals of the Paris Agreement.
