Energy companies from 37 countries have been selected as finalists forthe S&P Global Platts Global Energy Awards. The 2018 finalists were announced last month by program host S&P Global Platts, the leading global provider of energy and commodities information and spot market benchmarks. 

Enervee, a technology, software and behavioral science company that gives energy companies the tools they need to communicate with their residential customers and help the customers make informed decisions, was named one of the sixteen finalists for the 2018 Platts Global Energy Rising Star Company Award. Enervee's signature offering is the IDEAL Customer Platform, which supports a series of consumer-facing choice engines which allow consumers to make optimal choices based on new and personal data - from lighting and appliance purchases, through to smart products and even cars. The IDEAL Customer Platform also enables other utility-valued applications such as solar engagement. Established in 1999 and often described as "the Oscars of the energy industry," Global Energy Awards highlight corporate and individual innovation, leadership and superior performance in 19 categories that span the entire energy complex.

The Rising Star Company recognizes the achievements of either a genuine startup business or an existing business that has moved into a brand new field. Enervee launched its first utility platforms in November 2014 and is now the global leader in using data to deliver simpler and better choices at scale - growing to 13 utility deployments today and serving 27.8 million households in Europe and 19.5 million electric and 5.7 million gas only customers in the U.S.

Hundreds of energy industry representatives are expected to attend the 2018 Global Energy Awards black-tie dinner gala in New York City on December 6. The awards program will be emceed by CNBC Reporter Jackie DeAngelis.  

Preceding the awards program, finalists and other industry executives will take part in the S&P Global Platts Global Energy Outlook Forum, a platform for exploration and debate of industry-critical issues by energy executives, government officials and academics.
