EPC Power Smart Inverters Extensively Tested and Officially Authorized for Use with Primus Power Flow Batteries

EPC Power Corp. (EPC), an innovator in energy storage power conversion technologies, successfully completed rigorous integration testing with Primus Power (Primus) flow batteries. Primus completed this extensive testing at its Hayward, Calif., headquarters, verifying that EPC inverters provide the required fast response and smart inverter controls to be compatible with Primus batteries.

Having met performance and consistency standards, EPC inverters are now authorized by Primus for installation and integration with Primus batteries to support the growing need for energy storage products globally. Primus flow batteries are used in smart grid, commercial/industrial, data center and utility applications in the U.S. and internationally.

"Not all inverter and battery combinations work well together. EPC inverters are known as the exception due to their flexible interface and parameterized controls that ensure EPC smart inverters work well with various architectures and with a wide range of batteries," says Allan Abela, EPC's chief commercial officer. "Having earned this stamp of approval from Primus will allow more energy storage users to realize the benefits that EPC's conversion technology provides."

Designed for grid-scale applications, "Primus batteries must withstand tough demands in the field, so we in turn require and test for the highest performance and integrability standards for inverters," said Hossein Kazemi, VP of Engineering at Primus. "EPC has proved to be a trusted supplier we can recommend to our customers."
