Soltec Standardizes Radio Devices for Tracker Communication with Double Antenna and Global Application Scope

Soltec, manufacturer of single-axis solar trackers, was awarded equipment certification for radio modules in tracker communications by the United States' Federal Communications Commission (FCC). Consistent with Soltec's ongoing innovation in standard tracker features, this radio module was developed with double antenna compatible with the zero-gap SF7 tracker to assure appropriate line-of-sight antenna communications.

FCC regulates communications by radio, television, satellite, and cable in the United States. This commission is the American primary authority for communications law, regulation, and technological innovation.

The certification is compulsory in the United States for every device emitting radio waves and it certifies that Soltec's tracker communications via radio are sent forth on the assigned frequency (2.4 GHz) and at the specified strength. The 2.4GHz frequency was chosen as it is available throughout the world, Soltec's radio module is a global solution without special project activities.

FCC assigned Soltec with the ID number 2AOO8SOLBEE.
