Indiana Congresswoman Susan W. Brooks to Visit EnerDel Facility

EnerDel, a leading supplier of advanced lithium-ion batteries welcomes Congresswoman Susan W. Brooks to its Indianapolis, IN headquarters on March 28, 2018. Congresswoman Brooks will spend the morning with Indiana's only lithium-ion cell producer- and one of just a handful in the entire United States, touring the lithium-ion cell production facilities and the pack manufacturing production floor and culminating in a Town Hall session where the Congresswoman will address the employees. "We are excited to have our Congresswoman (Susan W. Brooks) tour the EnerDel facility and meet our people where she will get to experience, first-hand, the growth the company has experienced over the past few years while learning about our products, people and how we are helping Indiana become the technology hub for lithium-ion product manufacturing in North America," said Michael Canada, CEO of EnerDel.

Congresswoman Susan W. Brooks represents the 5th District of Indiana, which spans eight urban, suburban and rural counties in Central Indiana, including the north side of Indianapolis. She uses her background as a Deputy Mayor of Indianapolis, a U.S. Attorney, and a community college administrator to improve education, jobs, health and homeland security. She currently serves on the House Energy and Commerce Committee and is a member of the Communications and Technology, Health, and Oversight and Investigations Subcommittees. She is the Chairwoman of the House Committee on Ethics where works with her colleagues to restore confidence in Congress. She has focused on sexual harassment and abuse, mental health and substance abuse, and biodefense efforts.
