Situated 40 miles west of Boston, Steve Rorem's Gardner, MA home was powered by a traditional heat pump. After years of costly heat and electric bills, he decided that by switching to solar power, his energy and heat bill would drastically lower to an estimated $800 yearly. Rorem worked with local installer Boston Solar who advised him through a few challenges:

1. Finding solar panels that can handle high snow capacity due to the frequent winter storms in the area
2. Identifying solar panels that would provide adequate power despite his smaller-than-average roof size

Rorem and Boston Solar decided on a configuration of 35 LG NeON 350w panels to offset approximately 75% of his electric consumption on a given year. Armed with a 25-year warranty, LG's NeON panels are offsetting most of Steve's energy needs through its highly efficient and durable panels that can sustain rugged New England winters without issue.
