CleanSpark Provides a Best-in-Class Microgrid Solution to the Marijuana Industry

CleanSpark, Inc. (OTC: CLSK), a microgrid company with advanced engineering, software and controls for innovative distributed energy resource management systems, announced that Green Dragon, a Controlled Distribution Agriculture cannabis company based in North Hollywood, Calif., has contracted CleanSpark as their microgrid solutions provider.

The first phase of the Green Dragon microgrid will employ solar, energy storage, and advanced controls to immediately reduce the monthly electricity bill of the indoor grow facility by 82%. Key to the system's aggressive payback schedule is CleanSpark's mPulse software that will virtually eliminate the demand charges which previously accounted for almost 50% of Green Dragon's monthly bill. Turnkey financing solutions are being provided by Salveson and Associates of Newport Beach, Calif.

Kent Salveson commented, "We are very well versed in distributed energy and alternative technologies, but we have never seen anything as flexible as CleanSpark's microgrid platform. With it, we can not only model the 20-year performance of the microgrid, but also customize the hardware used in the project to choose technologies that specifically attack both demand charges and base-load power, while maintaining a technologically agnostic platform that will allow us to add new technologies as they become available."

CleanSpark has designed a 'best-in-class' solution for the Marijuana market to meet the significant and growing energy demands of the industry. Cannabis projects, including both retail (dispensary) and agricultural (grow) facilities, require a large amount of consistent electricity, and these businesses are among the largest users of electricity. This project will be phased to accommodate the growth plans of Green Dragon, under the first phase CleanSpark expects to recognize approximately $660,000 in total revenue.
