In-Depth Technical Training Workshops Keep Installers Up-To-Date

Nine NABCEP workshops attracted visitors interested in in-depth technical trainings to this year's Intersolar and ees North America exhibitions. Attendees earned CEU accreditation for each workshop attended, which covered the latest technologies and best practices for the design, installation and maintenance of code-compliant PV and storage systems.

Together, NABCEP and Intersolar/ees selected nine exhibiting companies to offer training workshops and hands-on product workshops. The presenting exhibitors included APsystemseGaugeMagnum EnergyQuickMount PVRoof TechSofdeskSolarEdge TechnologiesSolarRoofHook, and Trojan Battery Company. These companies reviewed the advantages of their respective products and market applications, and offered tips and techniques for troubleshooting common issues found in the field.

At the QuickMount PV workshop, attendees learned about the shift in the residential market demand for rail-free solutions, and the benefits provided by replacing traditional rail materials for PV systems. The eGauge workshop detailed how installers can access and use information from energy meter data that details a buildings' energy production and real-time consumption. The Magnum Energy workshop discussed how inverter and interconnection technology can provide flexibility when designing solar-plus-storage systems for off-grid applications.

The workshops attracted installers from across the country.
