Innogy Preps for South Wales Wind Farm

Innogy is preparing the site for the Mynydd y Gwair onshore wind farm soon to be under construction in South Wales, 15 km north of Swansea. Once operational, the 16 turbine project will have an installed capacity of up to 33.6MW. The project is expected to be a significant investment and could create up to 104 equivalent full time jobs on average during each year of its construction and deliver  £8.5 million to the local economies of South and West Wales2. Project Manager, Tim James (pictured) will post regular updates on the construction of Mynydd y Gwair Wind Farm here.
