Huawei FusionSolar Smart PV Solution Powers a Better Connected Ecosystem at Intersolar

Intersolar Europe 2016 is held in the New Munich Trade Fair Center. As the global leader in the PV industry, Huawei took part in the exhibition with the FusionSolar Smart PV Solution 3.0 and shared with the industry the new-generation smart PV solution that integrates digital information, Internet, and general PV technologies and advanced ideology of the smart PV ecosystem. In addition, the solution is demonstrated from multiple dimensions and scenarios, presenting Huawei's high technologies to participating customers.

Huawei FusionSolar Smart PV Solution 3.0 meets PV requirements in various scenarios, such as rooftop and floor. Huawei provides customers with an automatic, informational, and digital smart PV plant solution by simplifying the power plant structure, using high-precision sensors and PLC technologies, and connecting to the big data- and cloud computing-based FusionSolar cloud management center. In addition, Huawei leverages upstream and downstream industry advantages and integrates the tracking support, components, and transformer to provide wonderful user experience for customers.

In this exhibition, Huawei promotes the SUN2000-36/42KTL smart PV inverter for the European market. The inverter European efficiency is 98.6%, and the maximum efficiency is 98.8%. In addition, four maximum power point tracks (MPPTs) can minimize energy yield loss due to PV array mismatch and improve the energy yield of the power plant by more than 2%. High-precision sensors can accurately detect information about each string and the states of key components to remotely manage PV power plants. IP65 protection, no-fuse, and natural cooling design enable smart PV power plants apply to various scenarios and ensure secure and reliable running of inverters in the power plant lifecycle. Huawei smart PV inverters adopt Hisilicon chipsets and operating system, use fewer copper devices, changes the traditional power converter to a smart controller that can "think" as the "brain" of a power plant to improve inverter efficiency and performance. In addition, the PLC technology substitutes for RS485 communications cables, ensuring secure and reliable power plant communication. Inverters can supply power to tracking supports and provide high-speed communication channels to simply the system networking and reduce costs.

Huawei FusionSolar cloud management center converges the digital word and physical world deeply based on the big data and cloud computing technologies. Group and plant KPI data can be viewed vividly from the screen of the cloud management center. PV string IV curve for remote and smart PV string diagnosis, an amazing black technology, ensures that PV strings can be detected remotely, and the detection precision is 0.5%, which is six times higher than that of the traditional solution. The fault cause can be located, and the fault can be rectified quickly, improving plant O&M efficiency. In addition, the big data analysis system provides accurate and detailed data models for customers so as to provide more professional suggestions for customers in investment and O&M management.

Huawei 1500V smart PV solution features simple structure, minimizing DC nodes and arc risks. The five-level architecture minimizes component loss and improves efficiency to more than 99%. Traditional 10MW power plants have 10 MPPTs based on the formula of one MPPT for one 1MW array. Each Huawei smart string inverter has four MPPTs. A power plant of 10 MW capacity has 630 MPPTs (more than 60 times when compared with that of traditional inverters), minimizing impact of PV string mismatch and improving the power yield. In addition, costs in engineering and cables are saved, bringing more profits with the same investments.
