Rapid Shutdown Functionality for all Tigo's Smart Module Products Meeting NEC 2014 690.12

Tigo Energy, the smart module market leader, announced that its smart module line of products now have additional functionality required by NEC 2014 690.12 Rapid Shutdown.  This feature is available immediately for all Smart Module's using Tigo's industry leading technology or Tigo's retrofit optimizers.

Intertek laboratories (ETL) verified through testing, Tigo's industry leading smart module technology and confirmed it is meeting the Rapid Shutdown requirements of NEC 2014, 690.12 (1) through (4). This testing, performed by a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) verifies that the controlled conductors of a photovoltaic system equipped with Tigo's technology are limited to no more than 30 volts and 240 volt-amperes within 10 seconds of rapid shutdown initiation.

"We're pleased to announce the successful completion of testing for rapid shutdown functionality in our smart module line of products," said Sam Arditi, CTO of Tigo Energy. "Tigo's industry leading technology is already on the forefront of safe solar best practices and this further demonstrates our commitment to smart, safe solar."
