National Job Fair will Bring Top Talent to Growing OSW Industry

The Business Network for Offshore Wind, the leading non-profit advocate for U.S. offshore wind at the state, federal and global levels, is hosting an OSW CareerMatch Job Fair, the only national offshore wind job fair. The Job Fair will take place virtually on March 10 and feature top companies, including Avangrid, Boskalis, and more.

The inaugural Job Fair, which took place in August 2020 as part of the International Partnering Forum, was a huge success, bringing in over 300 job seekers who met with representatives from over 40 offshore wind companies. CareerMatch is designed for individuals considering their next career move or looking for a start in offshore wind, providing the opportunity to apply for posted jobs and to speak to company recruiters about current job openings and upcoming jobs (in the next 6-12 months). Registration is free to job seekers, who will have the chance to speak with industry representatives from top companies about positions range from internships, port studies project managers, geophysicists, account managers, naval architects, mechanical engineers and more.

2021 is shaping up to be a tremendous year for offshore wind. So far, we've already seen a 2.5 GW offshore wind procurement announcement in New York and the Biden Administration has announced ambitious climate goals that will boost the renewable energy sector and drive job creation," said Liz Burdock, president & CEO of the Business Network for Offshore Wind."The Network remains committed to helping supply chain companies leverage industry growth in the U.S. - and that includes growing the workforce. The Network will continue to host national job fairs in order to allow companies to connect with skilled individuals who will help grow the U.S. blue economy and ensure offshore wind energy is a robust part of the U.S. energy portfolio."

OSW CareerMatch Job Fair will take place from 8:00 a.m. to noon EST on March 10. If you are a company interested in participating in the Job Fair, sign-up online for a booth by March 3. Recruiters will be able to meet with potential employees face-to-face via private chat rooms, post open positions,  download job seeker resumes for positions open now or within the next 12 months, and upload company information for attendees to learn more about company goals.
