Community acceptance and security around wind farms Technostrobe present LIDS (Lighting Intensity Dimming Solution), a new solution that helps wind energy developers gain a greater level of community acceptance for their projects by reducing the intensity of the lights on wind farms. LIDS technology can e ectively and safely adjust the intensity of the light to the surrounding visibility present at wind farms. Light intensity can now be dimmed by 90% under clear skies conditions (10km or more of visibility). When the intensity of the lights is adjusted according to the surrounding visibility, pilot safety is maintained when they are ying near wind farms, and it signi cantly mitigates the impact of the beacons on local communities.
