Brush springs are one of the most neglected critical components of a turbine generator. Springs replaced only when there is obvious damage can lead to mixing and unequal spring forces. Unequal spring forces = unequal brush pressure = unequal current distribution between brushes = catastrophic failure. The UNO Solar converts high voltages from DC strings to 24VDC, eliminating the costs and hassle of trenching for combiner, re-combiner, and inverter control for anti-islanding appli- cations. The UNO Solar accepts the 300 to 1000VDC input generated by the array and converts it to electrically isolated 24VDC/2.5A output voltage.
