The SOLARCHECK PV string monitoring system is a cost-effective, lexible, and reliable tool that pro-
vides information about a solar array’s power output. The system consists of current and voltage meas-
uring modules within a combiner box. Those units pass information back to a separate communication
module that’s combined with a higher-level control system. A SOLARCHECK module can measure up to
8 current strings. These modules can be combined with other 8-string modules or 4-channel versions
for lexible string coniguration within a combiner box. The measuring module can measure and record
up to 1000 VDC. All modules can be networked together to send data back to a central control system.

LI-COR Biosciences
LI-COR provides solar radiation meas-
urements. For solar resource assess-
ment, LI-COR’s proven LI-200 Pyranom-
eter is a cost-effective alternative that
compares favorably with irst-class
thermopile-type pyranometers. The new-
ly redesigned LI-200R features a more
robust case that’s designed to shed
water more eficiently. It also includes
a modular, removable base and cable
that allows the sensor to be removed for
recalibration, without affecting existing
mounting architecture. This makes the
sensor ideal for PV eficiency measuring
systems that may have an extensive net-
work of cables, which would otherwise
make sensor removal dificult.

Moxa Americas Inc.
Moxa’s UC-8100 Series computer makes
it easier for systems providers to offer a
complete monitoring service for any and
all of their remote ield devices. It acts
as a compact, highly lexible, vendor-
agnostic datalogger that connects in-
verters, string combiners, smart meters,
and other devices—transmitting data
over Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or cellular. Moxa’s
easy-to-deploy software platform can
collect this data from multiple locations,
enabling management of the attached
devices themselves.
