ACORE to Unveil New Analysis on the Value of Transmission During Winter Storm Uri, Other Severe Weather Events

This Thursday at 1:00 PM EDT, the American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE) will host a webinar release of a new report demonstrating how additional interregional transmission lines could have kept the lights on and saved consumers money during recent extreme weather events. CLICK HERE TO REGISTER.

Following a presentation by the report author, Wall Street Journal reporter Katherine Blunt will moderate a discussion of the report and the broader need for expanding and upgrading the US transmission grid. The report examines five extreme weather events in Texas, the Northeast and the Midwest, finding the greatest cost savings and reliability benefits for Texas during the recent Winter Storm Uri.
