Binsfeld Engineering Inc. has announced the release of the new TorqueTrak TPM2 torque and power monitoring system for applications such as wind turbines, marine, automotive and hydro power generation. The TPM2 model features a digital RS422 full duplex, serial interface with user selectable sample rates ranging from 10 to 4800 samples/second. Signal resolution is 15 bits for eight input ranges from 0 to 32mV/V down to 0 to 0.25mV/V. 

 

TPM2 setup and configuration is easy and convenient with BEI- supplied software. System changes can safely be made away from the shaft using the RS422 interface. 

 

The TorqueTrak TPM2 uses strain gage technology and does not require shaft modification or machine disassembly. The TorqueTrak TPM2 is a solution for continuous long-term measure-ment and is available for shaft diameters from 0.75"(19mm) to 40" (1016mm).
