Hermetically sealed battery disconnect

GIGAVAC announces a new addition to their extensive line of Advanced Switching Solutions. The HBD series of manual service disconnect switches incorporate patent-pending technology to deliver unprecedented protection from hostile environments. The HBD series is the first hermetically sealed disconnect, and all models exceed IP67 and IP69 requirements.

Designed and manufactured in the USA, there are three HBD versions available, including HBD21, HBD31, and HBD41, respectively featuring 200 amps, 300 amps, and 400 amps continuous current carry. Lightweight and compact (about 4" x 5"), the HBD series means users can be confident of a low-voltage drop (less than 50 millivolts at rated current), under any weather conditions—even in marine, salt spray environments such as for offshore wind, and at temperatures ranging from -55° C to +85° C (-67° F to 185° F). All HBD models incorporate an environmentally durable fiber composite housing, providing additional protection from the ravages of sun and water.
