Sherin and Lodgen Adds Two Attorneys to Growing Renewable Energy Practice Group

Boston law firm Sherin and Lodgen LLP is pleased to announce the addition of Colleen V. Collins and Tanya M. Larrabee to the firm's growing Renewable Energy Practice Group. Collins joins as Of Counsel and Larrabee joins as an Associate.

Collins advises renewable energy developers in the acquisition and development of solar projects, including due diligence, permitting, title, and survey review. In addition, she represents lenders in financing for commercial solar development projects, often involving Investment Tax Credit investors and state incentive programs such as the Massachusetts SMART program. Collins began her legal career as a Corporate Associate in one of Buffalo, New York's largest firms before relocating to Boston, where she served as corporate counsel for a Massachusetts bank.

Larrabee represents renewable energy clients in the acquisition, development and financing of solar, wind and energy storage projects, including advising on state incentive programs. Prior to joining Sherin and Lodgen, Larrabee served as Legal Counsel at the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources (DOER) where she represented and executed DOER's legal and policy strategy in state and federal administrative proceedings including  §83C offshore wind and  §83D clean energy procurements, rate case proceedings, storage proceedings, and Grid Modernization. She also collaborated on developing and implementing DOER's legislative priorities and regulations including the Massachusetts SMART program and the draft regulations for CleanPeak Standard.

Sherin and Lodgen Managing Partner Douglas M. Henry said, "Colleen and Tanya each bring with them robust knowledge of the Massachusetts energy market and a deep bench of experience in renewable energy acquisition, development and financing. We welcome them both to the firm."

An expansion of the firm's established solar practice, Sherin and Lodgen's Renewable Energy Practice Group was launched in 2018, in response to a growing need from clients seeking to achieve financial, real estate and environmental goals utilizing solar, wind, hydro and energy storage initiatives. Lenders, developers, municipalities and companies rely on the firm's experience in financing, development, leasing, environmental, zoning, and permitting to navigate the ever-changing energy market and accomplish their business goals.
