Hubject Expands its Management Board: New Three-Person Team in Place

Hubject highlights its focus on expansion and technology with a new three-person leadership team: Carsten Puhl and Nils Dullum join the new Hubject management board with Christian Hahn.

Thomas Daiber will leave his role as Hubject Co-CEO when his contract expires at the end of the year. Over the last six years, he has successfully turned the Berlin-based emobility joint venture founded in 2012 into a global player with subsidiaries in the USA and China. The B2B software platform developed by Hubject with customers in 26 countries currently offers access to the world's largest cross-operator charging network for electric vehicles. Daiber is now resigning his position as CEO to focus on his own projects. However, the 36-year-old mobility services specialist will continue with Hubject in an advisory role.

'It's great to see what our young team has achieved in such a short time. As part of our internationalisation efforts, we have created a strong foundation to help make an important contribution to the breakthrough of emobility worldwide. I would like to thank my colleagues, partners and shareholders for the great trust they have shown in me. In Carsten and Nils, we have gained two emobility experts who we already trust for many years and who will continue our success story in the future,' says Thomas Daiber on his departure.

Benedict Schulte zur Hausen, chairman of the Hubject shareholders' meeting, from the BMW Group, remarks: 'We would like to thank Thomas for his tremendous work in establishing Hubject. The company is now a global leader in the interoperable charging of electric vehicles. Thomas played a huge role in this and, together with Christian, set up an excellent team. We are therefore very sorry about his decision to leave, but we wish him all the best for the future!'

Hubject has been growing for many years. The future management board built around CEO Christian Hahn, who was previously responsible for Strategy and Product Development in a two-person role alongside Daiber, will have two additional managing directors. Carsten Puhl, formerly Chief Operating Officer at Mobile City and currently Senior Consultant in Hubject's Consulting division, will be responsible for the Product and IT divisions as Chief Technical Officer (CTO) from 1 January 2019. Nils Dullum, founder and, from 2009 to 2017, CEO of the Danish charging point operator CleanCharge, will be responsible for Sales, Marketing and PR as Chief Sales Officer (CSO). The new expanded management board takes account of the company's international expansion efforts.
