Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul to Give Keynote Address at New York Offshore Wind Supply Chain Forum

Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul will provide the opening keynote address at the New York Offshore Wind Supplier Forum (Forum). Sponsored by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), the day-long event will facilitate the introduction of offshore wind developers and suppliers to local companies that are potential suppliers and service providers to the budding offshore wind industry.

The Forum aims to have developers submit Requests for Proposals to the recently announced solicitation seeking 800 megawatts or more of new offshore wind projects in New York - the state's first large-scale offshore wind solicitation. The solicitation accelerates New York's progress towards Governor Andrew M. Cuomo's mandate for 50 percent of the state's electricity to come from renewable sources by 2030 and significantly jump starts the emerging offshore wind industry in New York.
