The Cannabis Certification Council along with the Denver Cannabis Sustainability Working Group has announced the speaker lineup and program agenda for the third annual Cannabis Sustainability Symposium, which will be held at the Hyatt Regency Denver at Colorado Convention Center on Friday., Oct. 26. Tickets are available for $105.

This year's symposium is focused on technological and regulatory changes impacting cultivation businesses. The daylong event features two tracks-Optimizing Cultivation and Business Management-with all content geared towards helping cultivators improve their competitive advantage in the marketplace. 

Leading experts from across the country will present at the event, including featured speaker John Stier, Sustainability Mentor at the Brewer's Association, who will address sustainability lessons the cannabis industry can take from the craft brewing industry. 

"Sharing initiatives and lessons of growing responsibly developed by the Brewers Association at the Cannabis Sustainability Symposium is an important opportunity to accelerate the pace of implementing sustainable practices into the flow of investment and talent going into the cannabis sector," Stier said 

Breakout sessions throughout the day are sure to appeal to a range of industry members, from facility operators to CEOS. Programming will cover an array of timely topics, providing valuable insight and analysis from speakers including Angie Fyfe, Resource Efficiency and Renewable Energy Program Director at ICLEI USA; Jesse Peters, Founder and CEO of Eco Firma Farm; Derek Smith, Executive Director and Co-Founder of the Resource Innovation Institute; Brad Smith, Sustainability Outreach Specialist for Boulder County; Michael Turner, Director of the Colorado Energy Office; Kay Doyle, Commissioner of the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission; and many more.

With this year's lineup of speakers and an incredibly strong group of partners and sponsors, the 3rd annual Cannabis Sustainability Symposium is expecting record participation. Held annually in Denver, the Symposium has become a touchstone event nationally for sustainability in cannabis and a leading platform for top industry executives, regulators and sustainability experts to convene, learn and network.

Sessions feature expert panels covering topics such as data-driven resource management, cutting-edge pest control methods, innovative energy efficiency strategies, carbon footprint reduction techniques, alternative energy options, corporate social responsibility and more. Attendees can expect to learn the most effective methods for anticipating technological and regulatory changes, as well as how to improve their company's bottom line by implementing highly efficient and sustainable operating procedures. 

The 2018 Symposium includes major industry partners from Colorado and around the country. ProGrowTech, an LED manufacturer based in Arizona is the Sustaining Partner for the first time this year.
